The seminar for me was technical. But I can see that the topic was really technical so the speaker had no choice but also to discuss it in that manner.
But from what I have understand, the seminar was entitled as NoSQL because it talks of alternatives which have lesser constraints for the user. As a mySQL user, I honestly have difficulty with the constraints that I encounter whenever I create new scripts and execute them. Sometimes, it takes me a while to debug and sometimes I just ask for help just to get the error solved.
The only idea that I got with the seminar is that there are new database management system alternatives which are better to use and easier to work with.
