To be honest, I arrived in the seminar really late. But still, I really tried to grasp what the topic was all about.
So yeah, the seminar was about ITIL. I'm really learning new things from the seminars I've attended and most of the time, I'm surprised that aside from technologies, there are actually new terms in the business world that are emerging as well, and ITIL is one of those.
From what I have learned in the seminar, ITIL is used by companies in managing its IT. It is actually like a compilation of best practices on how IT is used in organizations, its concepts, how to actually use it and how to manage IT. The speaker also told us that the top companies are already using ITIL while some are looking forward on using this in managing and developing their IT.
Also, the thing that I'll never forget about it is that, when ITIL is included in my resume, companies could give 40K as a starting salary! :P
